Phone Case Plus Card Holder: The Three Setups That Work
Built-in slot, MagSafe wallet, stick-on card holder — here's which combination fits your daily routine.
Carrying cards on your phone is one of those small upgrades that quietly removes a wallet from your life. There are three real ways to do it, each with trade-offs.
1. Built-in slot wallet case
All-in-one. Cards sit inside the case. Pros: nothing to lose. Cons: blocks wireless charging, bulky, terrible if you drop the phone (cards fly out).
2. MagSafe / Qi2 magnetic wallet
Snaps onto a magnetic case. Pros: slim, removable, charging-friendly. Cons: lower-quality magnets can slide off in a pocket — check that the wallet is rated for at least 1,500g of pull.
3. Stick-on card holder
Adhesive pocket on the back of any case. Pros: cheap, works with any case. Cons: permanent — ruins the design of a printed case and leaves residue.
Recommendation
If your phone supports MagSafe or Qi2, option 2 wins on every axis except magnet strength. Buy the wallet from the same brand as your case when possible — they'll be sized to match.
